We provide a wide range of training to statutory and voluntary agencies who have teams delivering rehabilitative programmes to people with a visual impairment.

Our educational BTEC courses and CPD training programmes require us to deliver accurate and effective information using a variety of media. For our practical sessions we use the DAAS Vision Simulator Kit to illustrate the restrictions of poor vision in different environments. Tried and tested by our employees over many years, we are proud to act as distributors of the kit in UK.

The interchangeable lenses and disks simulate a variety of common vision disorders that provide an insight into practical difficulties involved in living with a vision problem. The lenses and disks are not a diagnostic tool, but an educational one, designed to promote awareness and understanding. The goggles are comfortable to wear and prevent light entering around the edges which results in a more accurate simulation.

The kit’s contents are housed in an attractive carrying case designed for durability, portability and professional appearance. There is an outside pocket designed to accommodate up to a 1250mm folding cane, loops for several monoculars and other small pieces of equipment.
